So I receive a text from Jon's teacher that he's having a hard day, didn't like what was being served for lunch and refused to eat, etc. At first I let out a big sigh like, here we go again. But, I decided to drive all 35 miles from work back to the neighborhood to check on him. When he saw me at the desk, he ran down the hall screaming my name and gave me the biggest hug he could. We tucked away into an office to talk. He explained his concerns (lol) and asked if we could pray. We prayed, he hugged me tightly again and took off back to class. After school the teacher text me again and said, "I don't know what you did but Jon returned to class a different person." He finished off the day at the top of chart! That made my eyes tear...he just wanted a little 'mommy love' and a moment of prayer before God. Shared by permission on November 2, 2013.
